CyberNest Labs – Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

1. Policy Statement

CyberNest Labs is committed to conducting all its business dealings and relationships in an ethical, transparent, and lawful manner. We have zero tolerance towards all forms of modern slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains.

We recognise our responsibility under the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 to prevent modern slavery in our business and to ensure that our suppliers and partners share our commitment to integrity, fairness, and human rights.

2. Our Organisation

CyberNest Labs is a UK-based company specialising in advanced AI, cybersecurity, and digital intelligence training. Our operations include course delivery, software development, research, and consultancy. We work with law enforcement, government departments, and private sector partners to deliver ethical and secure digital training and capability solutions.

Given the nature of our business, we consider the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations to be low. However, we acknowledge that risks can exist within extended supply chains — including technology providers, contracted services, and partner organisations — and we are committed to ensuring that these are identified and mitigated.

3. Our Approach to Preventing Modern Slavery

We take a proactive approach to identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to modern slavery by:

  • Conducting due diligence on suppliers and contractors, particularly those involved in recruitment, logistics, and overseas service delivery.

  • Ensuring that all contracts with suppliers include ethical working practice clauses and the right to audit compliance.

  • Requiring all suppliers to confirm that they operate in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and do not engage in forced or exploitative labour practices.

  • Promoting transparency and accountability within all business relationships.

4. Employment Practices

CyberNest Labs upholds fair and ethical employment practices:

  • We ensure that all employees work voluntarily and are free to leave upon reasonable notice.

  • Employment terms and conditions are clear, lawful, and communicated in writing.

  • We pay all staff in compliance with UK employment law and at or above the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage.

  • We do not use forced, bonded, or involuntary labour, and we do not retain employee identity papers or financial deposits.

5. Training and Awareness

We ensure that all relevant staff — especially those involved in procurement, recruitment, and project management — understand the signs of modern slavery and their responsibilities in preventing it.
Training and awareness are integrated into our induction programme and refreshed periodically to maintain vigilance across all business areas.

6. Reporting Concerns

CyberNest Labs promotes an open culture where employees and contractors can raise concerns confidentially without fear of retaliation.
If anyone suspects that modern slavery or human trafficking is taking place within our organisation or supply chain, they are encouraged to report it immediately via:

All reports are investigated promptly and thoroughly, with appropriate action taken against any breach.

7. Monitoring and Review

We regularly review and improve our policies and due diligence processes to ensure they remain effective in preventing modern slavery.
This policy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if legislation or organisational changes require it.

8. Responsibility

Responsibility for this policy rests with the Board of Directors of CyberNest Labs. Day-to-day implementation is led by the Compliance and Operations Manager, supported by all staff and partners who share accountability for maintaining ethical practice.
