Service Description
CyberNest Labs’ Python for OSINT course is a practical programme designed specifically for investigators, intelligence professionals and analysts who want to use programming to make digital investigations faster, more efficient and more capable. The course was created to address a common capability gap: investigators increasingly work with large volumes of digital information, but relatively few have the programming skills needed to automate repetitive tasks, interrogate data or build their own technical solutions. Delegates are introduced to Python programming from an investigative perspective, with the emphasis firmly on practical application rather than traditional software development. The course explores how Python can support OSINT investigations through automation, data collection and processing, investigative problem-solving and the handling of larger or more complex datasets. Practical exercises help delegates understand how relatively small amounts of code can automate otherwise time-consuming investigative tasks and extend what can be achieved using conventional OSINT tools alone. The programme is designed for practitioners rather than software engineers and is suitable for those with little or no previous programming experience. By the end of the course, delegates should have the confidence to begin using Python as part of their own investigative workflow and to continue developing scripts and automated solutions to real operational problems. The course has already introduced hundreds of police officers and investigators to practical programming, investigative automation and data processing, with delivery across the UK and internationally.
